The Bombay High Court believed that accusations without evidence could not be used to support a case and thus dismissed as meritless the case put against Kulkarni. In this decision almost ten years of legal complications for the actress came to an end.
The exonerating of Kulkarni gave her ample opportunity to re-establish her reputation and reconnect with the motion picture industry and also represented that the case was important enough to be determined fairly under law.
