However, it seems like news channels are more focused on interviewing celebrities, namely Aamir Khan, instead of highlighting these pressing issues.

With his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par set to release soon, interviews are expected as part of the promotion process. But fans have pointed out that, amidst so many national safety concerns, the media seems to be asking tougher questions to Aamir Khan than to our politicians.
People on social media are calling out the absurdity of it all. First, it’s frustrating to watch Aamir repeatedly having to prove his nationalism and love for the country just because of his religion.

Second, they’ve noted that instead of questioning government officials about public safety failures, media houses are grilling Aamir on unrelated matters.
Government officials are rarely held accountable for massive safety lapses. Over 200 lives were lost in the Ahmedabad crash, and more than 10 people died in Mumbai, yet no major news outlets have dared to ask pressing questions to those in power.

While some speculate that Aamir may have paid for these media slots as part of his film’s publicity, the core issue remains: Why is an actor being questioned more harshly than elected officials?
A safer, better country isn’t built by interrogating actors, it’s built by holding politicians accountable and demanding answers from those in charge.
