Allu Aravind's Talent Hunt: Blockbuster Remake

Remakes are not a new trend in Bollywood. Meanwhile, reports of a remake of the 2023 Telugu film Baby have been making rounds of the internet for some time.

A few months ago, it was confirmed that Madhu Mantena’s Phantom Studios collaborated with SKN and Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts to produce the remake. However, they did not disclose anything else about the cast members and a potential release date.

Meanwhile, casting director Mukesh Chhabra has now shared a video, revealing that he is searching for a female lead between the age of 18-23 for a love story.

The film would be helmed by Sai Rajesh and Mukesh also confirmed the above-mentioned collaboration of the three production companies from his side in the clip.

It seems like Bollywood is finally considering giving a chance to new talent. This is possibly happening after many years and even if it is a remake of Baby, audiences won’t hesitate to buy a ticket since they would get a chance to see a new face on screen.

Despite planning a remake, the makers have taken a different approach by organizing the casting call. They might be trying to avoid any kind of criticism by finalizing a well-known face. It remains to be seen if the casting call turns out to be the best decision taken by the producers.
