In an unfortunate turn of events, Ayan Mukherji’s father Deb Mukherjee recently passed away at the age of 83.
He passed away on the morning of March 14th on the occasion of Holi due to several age-related problems. The veteran actor was struggling with numerous health problems for the last couple of months, which ultimately took his life.

The veteran actor was a part of vintage films including Adhikar, Sikandar, Tu Hi Meri Zindagi and several other films over the years.
Last rites of the legendary actor will be performed at the Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai where several high profile actors including Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are expected to appear.

His son Ayan Mukherji hasn’t made any official statement so far but given the situation, the filmmaker must be going through a lot at the moment.
Ayan Mukherji is currently working on his next directorial, War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. The film is expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year and is scheduled to release around Independence Day.

As the passing of Deb Mukherjee will certainly have an impact on Ayan Mukherjee, it remains to be seen if War 2 will be delayed due to this unfortunate incident or not.
