
Maddock Films one misstep has landed it with a 60 crore lawsuit and no place to premiere its latest, “Bhool Chuk Maaf”.
Just a day prior to its release, Maddock Films decided to pull off Bhool Chuk Maaf, citing national security reasons in light of the Phalgam terror attack.

Maddock is in a difficult spot with PVR-INOX as a result of this one mistake disguised to cover up its subpar advance bookings and marketing failure.
In retaliation, PVR-INOX filed a lawsuit against Maddock for 60 crores, citing financial loss, breach of contract, and violation of trust.

Many people believe that this was an act of dread rather than patriotism. Maddock attempted to conceal the disaster by releasing the movie on Amazon Prime rather than confronting the fact that it was a flop.
However, Maddock’s opportunity to release the film on OTT has also been scrapped, as the Bombay High Court has issued a stay on its release in that format as well.

Favoring PVR-INOX’s accusations, the conclusion is this: when money and obligations are involved, you cannot disregard obligations and hide online.
As a result of this poor decision, Maddock may have alienated a large section of its audience.
With the next court hearing to be held on June 16, it looks like in this case for Maddock, Bhool Chuk is NOT Maaf!
