Dhoom was released back in 2004 and became popular among people for its romance, comedy, action, thrill, drama and songs. Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, it was loved so much by the audience that the makers released the second part of the film just 2 years later.
Moving its focus from John Abraham who was one of the leads in the first part, Dhoom 2 in 2006 introduced Hrithik Roshan.

The films became such a hit with the audience that they influenced the fashion and style of that generation.
In 2013, the third part of the series, Dhoom 3, was released which starred Aamir Khan. While the movie was average compared to the ones that came before it, it worked well because it was a part of the franchise. Abhishek Bachchan played the cop in all three of these parts.

However, the third film wasn’t directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, it was made by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
After over a decade, there are talks about the fourth instalment of the film being planned.
The film is going to be led by Ranbir Kapoor and is slated to begin shooting in 2026.
While Abhishek will be missing from his iconic cop role in the franchise, rumours say that a South Indian actor is most likely to play his part.
While the project sounds very exciting, the current era of Bollywood isn’t so kind to franchise films.
