BO Potential 6000 Cr: War 2 Just the Beginning

According to reports, Yash Raj Films (YRF) sits on a massive upcoming slate with the biggest stars and producers in the industry. If the content does justice, then films like War 2, Pathaan 2, and Tiger vs Pathaan are going to be huge.

If the content is good, these movies are going to sweep the box office in the years to come. But if any one or two films, like War 2 or Alpha, fail, then the entire slate gets damaged.

Tiger vs Pathaan is being compared to Avengers: Endgame, with Bollywood’s biggest stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, NTR, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor all coming together. This kind of crossover can be a game-changer for Indian cinema.

Then there’s Dhoom 4 with Ranbir Kapoor as well. An action thriller is also pending with Shah Rukh Khan and Ali Abbas Zafar.

The total box office potential of all these films is more than 6,000 crores.

But this is possible only if the earlier ones, such as War 2 and Alpha, do well. If not, then it could become a headache for other movies and the future lineup.

Films with Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor are a big draw, but content is king. Films like Dhoom 4 need a strong story to meet audience expectations.

Without a solid story, these films will be big star-cast films that fail to deliver and will disappoint.

The YRF slate looks good, but there are risks. If one or two films fail, the entire slate will be affected. Tiger vs Pathaan depends on earlier films to build momentum. YRF must ensure every film is strong in terms of story and execution.

YRF has great potential, but star power alone won’t be enough. There’s a risk of “big names, small impact” that can harm the overall strategy.

YRF must work hard on every film to ensure the content is as big as the names attached to it. If they deliver on all fronts, these films can be the biggest in the coming years.
