
This year, everyone was shaken by the rising tensions between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of a terror attack that happened in Pahalgam.
Tensions further escalated and in came the moment when people started questioning whether Pakistani artists should be allowed to be a part of the Indian film franchise.

Since many of them spoke against India, it was decided that the artists from Pakistan will be completely banned in India.
Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3 now faces serious release uncertainty following objections raised by FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) over the alleged inclusion of Pakistani actress Hania Amir. She was also among those artists who called out India’s strike against terrorists in Pak bases.

Scheduled to hit theatres on June 27, 2025, the film now hangs in limbo as FWICE has urged the CBFC to deny certification, citing national interest.
Speculation around Hania Amir’s involvement arose from behind-the-scenes images. This sparked online debate and drew scrutiny to the cast.

Though the actress has not been confirmed officially, FWICE’s letter to the CBFC warns of potential consequences. The authorities even suggested a ban on Diljit himself if the film is released without clarification.
Adding fuel to the controversy are reports of other Pakistani artists, including Nasir Chinyoti, being connected to the project.
As of now, neither Diljit nor the film’s team has issued an official response.
Now, the question is – if Hania is indeed a part of the film, will it be released? Time will tell.
