akshay-kumar--smoking-is-injured-to-health

Akshay Kumar’s fans were happy a few months ago when it was announced that the anti-smoking ad featuring the actor wouldn’t be appearing before the start of any films. Akshay’s advertisement was replaced with another, which addressed the positive changes resulting from quitting tobacco.

However, with the release of Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero, the anti-smoking ad with Akshay is back for another time. But the situation is not like what people are expecting.

A source claimed that Ground Zero was cleared by the censor board in September last year, and a rule was declared at the same time, saying that the ad would be included in films where characters are smoking or consuming tobacco in any manner.

The new ad rule was enforced around ten days after the film was passed by the CBFC, and the ad’s return has now received negative feedback from the audience.

A multiplex official claimed that the new ad is disturbing compared to the previous one, saying that it was able to send the required message to the audience without any flaws. The official stated that the government must start playing the ad again, as it happened in the past.

It seems like Akshay is not willing to take a break so easily. But he needs to understand that people are laughing when he appears in an anti-smoking ad, and it has impacted Akshay’s stardom at the same time, leading to a decline in box office collections.

It is not necessary to repeat a popular face in these ads. Even common people can help to send the message. Let’s wait and see if any change will happen in the upcoming months.
