In a recent interview, actor Unni Mukundan might have dropped some hints of a possible sequel in the making.
In the interview, Mukundan was asked why Malayalam films struggle to achieve success in theatres in the Hindi-speaking regions, despite working well on OTT platforms.

The actor said that one of the main reasons this happens is because of the lack of a bigger budget.
An action film reaches a nationwide audience because it is generally more accepted by the wider audience, he said. When you take an action film to a bigger audience, it needs to be backed by bigger stars and shouldn’t feel like it is regionally bound.
When entertaining a larger audience, the film also requires a producer who is as passionate about the film as the makers.
Mukundan said that he finds the Hindi-speaking audience to be very versatile. He applauds how accepting the audience is of South Indian films in the dubbed version.
This acceptance by the wider audience gives the actor the courage to approach a sequel for Marco.
The film was loved by the Hindi-speaking audience- the numbers are proof of it. This makes fans very optimistic about a sequel to the movie.
