Bollywood has struggled to deliver a clean hit since the beginning of this year. Except for Chhaava, most of the films turned out to be flops or disasters. Some of them also went unnoticed by the audience.
However, the last few weeks have turned out to be good in terms of business at the box office.

While Sikandar failed to deliver the desired results, Jaat managed to pull some audiences, followed by Kesari Chapter 2, whose collections were comparatively better than the rest of Akshay Kumar’s films that flopped.
Last Friday, Raid 2 was released across India and the numbers were up to the mark. Combined with the other two films, the overall collections are reported to be almost Rs. 320 crores.

While Jaat has created a lifetime record of Rs. 85 crores, Kesari Chapter 2 has accumulated Rs. 90 crores. Although Raid 2 is still running in theatres, the crime thriller might end with somewhere between Rs. 130-140 crores, based on the response it is receiving from the audience.
The best thing for now is that none of the three films flopped. Raid 2 is already a hit and the other two turned out to be average-grossers.

But this victory is not sufficient for Bollywood. This momentum has to be maintained for the upcoming months and every year. At least 2-3 hit films are needed every month for the Hindi film industry to stay in the spotlight.
There are a few more big films in the next few months, including two from the YRF Spy Universe. Let’s wait and see if the numbers would be the same like mentioned above or we would get to witness the arrival of new blockbusters in the list of 2025.
