John Abraham’s political thriller The Diplomat showcases strong performances and a compelling plot with its official trailer being released recently.
The Shivam Nair directorial is inspired by the true story of Indian diplomat JP Singh. Singh successfully rescued Uzma Ahmed from Pakistan and played a huge role in the task.

Portraying an intellectual yet dashing look, John Abraham shines in the trailer with his sparkling screen presence. Believing in quite a heroism and resilience, John is not in his natural habitat of action entertainers in this one.
He is working alongside a stellar cast including Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra in prominent roles. The film also pays tribute to the late Shri Sushma Swaraj showcasing her role in rescuing the Indian women from Pakistan.

With his power-packed dialogues and thrilling presence, John Abraham might have hit this one out of the park with his firm grip over the character and excellent portrayal of a diplomat.
As things look good for the film with most of the fans calling it a must-watch, the film might not attract the casual audience who want John to be a part of an action entertainer rather than a political thriller.

While this problem might come into play when the film releases on 7TH March, only time will tell if John Abraham will be able to make a box office comeback after his recent flops including Vedaa and Attack.
