Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is on the threshold of facing legal trouble. From red carpets to box office triumphs, her story may soon turn into that of courtrooms and legal fights since she has the possibility of a non-bailable warrant. However, how did this erstwhile well-known actress end up in this position?
Ranaut’s long-running conflict with Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar has taken a further dramatic turn in a dispute that has lasted for years. It all started in 2020 when Ranaut said she had a contentious discussion with Akhtar in 2016 during a televised appearance.

Akhtar refuted her claims and, in retaliation, filed a defamation case for alleged damage to his reputation due to her remarks. This added another twist to the courtroom drama as she alleged coercion against Akhtar in a lawsuit against him.
According to reports, Ranaut has attended fewer than 40 court appearances. The Bandra court, therefore, granted her one final opportunity to reply before issuing a non-bailable warrant. She cited parliamentary obligations as the excuse given by her lawyer for the most recent absence, but seems to be running out of patience.
