Now, Mulk 2 is in the works. But given the current communal climate in India, it’s uncertain whether the sequel will see a peaceful release.
People and groups have become quick to react violently over sensitive matters.

If Mulk 2 does release, the makers are going to need thick skin to handle the backlash it might provoke, that is, if the Central Board of Film Certification even allows the film to be released in the way the creators intended.
