Pushpa 2 is estimated to enter the Rs 1000 crore club solely with its Hindi version. With the average cost of the tickets being Rs 275, the film is said to get around 4.25 crore of footfall.

The most followed way is the box office revenue these films make while they are in the theatres. Another method is to count the number of weeks the movie was playing in the halls. Counting footfalls can also give an estimate of how many tickets were sold.
While the box office numbers do assess how successful a film is, it cannot be the only way to measure it. These numbers are dependent on the price of the tickets as well as the number of people who buy them.

Calculating footfalls is a more accurate way of determining how many people bought tickets to the show and visited the halls to experience the film.
While Pushpa 2’s box office numbers have been increasing, we can see a hike in its footfalls too.

The last time a film got over 5 crore footfalls for a Hindi language film was during Bahubali 2 back in 2017.
Even films like Gadar and Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge couldn’t cross the 5 crore mark. Meanwhile, Hum Aapke Hai Koun got around 7.5 crore footfalls.
Post-pandemic, the theatre-going audiences have reduced. Recent blockbusters like Jawan crossed 3.5 crore footfalls, Pathaan was at 3.2 crore and Animal was at 3 crore.
While Pushpa 2 has been breaking many box office records in its first week, it also surpasses the number of footfalls of recent Hindi hits by a big margin.
