Ramayana: Yash Ranbir & Kapoor

After wrapping up a major schedule of Toxic, Yash is all set to shift to the sets of Ramayana in Mumbai. According to sources, he will begin his journey on Ramayana by visiting the Shree Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain.

Yash will be playing the character of Ravana in the mythological film, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, who will take on the role of Lord Rama.

Ravana’s character demands a chilling presence that commands attention, something Yash might be able to deliver quite convincingly.

Ravana is a deeply layered character, filled with many shades of grey. On the other hand, Lord Rama is a comparatively linear figure who strictly follows the path of righteousness.

Both roles are nuanced in their own ways, but portraying Ravana is arguably more complex, requiring a portrayal as impactful as the one found in mythology.

Yash has the towering persona needed to embody Ravana. He possesses a menacing screen presence that can bring the ferocity of the character to life.

While Ranbir Kapoor was seen with a terrifying presence in Animal, he could likely do justice to the calm strength and virtue of Rama.

However, given the subtlety of Rama’s traits, there is a chance that Yash’s more layered and intense portrayal of Ravana might overshadow the righteous, straightforward nature of Rama.

That said, the reality of these performances will only be revealed once the film releases next year. It will be interesting to see how each actor approaches their role and whether they deliver something truly memorable.
