Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have sparked waves around the internet, with news circulating about the upcoming expansion of Mannat, their iconic Mumbai residence.
Gauri Khan has already submitted an application to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) regarding the addition of two more floors to the 6-story building.

This expansion is said to increase Mannat’s built-up area by 616 sq. metres at a whopping cost of Rs.25 Cr!
With the original construction consisting of 2 basements, a ground floor, and 6 stories, the expansion will further increase the already magnificent stature of Mannat.

The application is scheduled for review by the MCZMA Committee, headed by Principal Secretary (Environment) Pravin Darade, on December 11.
The expansion news has also brought rumours with it regarding the couple allegedly getting favours from the newly-formed BJP government in Maharashtra.

SRK having attended the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stirred things up even more for the duo.
One user on social media said, “SRK at Devendra Fadnavis’s event recently and now Mannat’s expansion plans getting fast-tracked? Interesting timing!”
Another defended the star as he commented, “Just because SRK attended a political event doesn’t mean he’s getting favours. Let’s not overanalyze.”
The matter is currently up for decision by the MCZMA, with fans waiting eagerly to hear the verdict.
