Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul started a new chapter earlier this year when they welcomed their baby girl, Evaara, into the world on March 24.
The proud parents shared their joy on Instagram, calling their daughter a blessing.

Since then, Athiya has stepped into motherhood with remarkable strength and grace—something that hasn’t gone unnoticed by her father, Suniel Shetty.
Suniel, overjoyed to be a grandfather, recently opened up in an interview about his daughter’s journey into motherhood.

He shared that in today’s world, where many women choose the comfort of a C-section, his daughter chose to go ahead with a natural birth.
He recalled how nurses told him it was unbelievable that she went through it, and that’s when it hit him as a father that his daughter is truly a strong woman.

While his remarks reflected pride and admiration, the internet was quick to call out how men need to stop giving opinions about women’s bodies, even if they are their fathers.
Many pointed out that society must stop judging women for choosing C-sections or epidurals during childbirth.
Childbirth, regardless of how it happens, is an incredibly painful process.
A C-section may be more controlled, but it is not pain-free, as many believe. It’s a major surgery that requires weeks of recovery, just like a natural delivery.
Others added that society needs to stop glamorising women’s pain, treating it as a badge of honour, especially when less painful alternatives are available.
Science and medicine have progressed to make life easier. If society continues to glorify suffering for women, we are heading nowhere.
