Akhil Akkineni’s upcoming film Lenin, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame, might release sooner than expected.
To speed up production, the team is reportedly minimizing foreign schedules and filming the majority of scenes across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Starring Sreeleela as the female lead, the film is rumored to be set in a Rayalaseema backdrop. Pratik Gandhi of Scam 1992 fame may play the villain.
The film is said to feature a unique genre for Akhil, blending action, drama, and a strong emotional love story. If all goes as planned, Lenin is expected to hit theaters during Dussehra 2025.

However, the Dussehra slot is already looking crowded, with Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 and SDT’s Sambarala Yeti Gattu lined up for the last week of September, followed by the much-anticipated Kantara 2 releasing on October 2.
Lenin cannot withstand the storm of Akhanda 2 or Kantara 2. After Akhil’s recent disasters like Agent, Lenin is seen as a crucial comeback project, and fans believe a crowded release window could turn into a nightmare for Akhil.

Many are hoping that the makers will consider a Diwali or Christmas release instead, giving the film better breathing room.
Since Annapurna Studios is producing the project with a significant budget, industry insiders expect the team to make a strategic decision that maximizes the film’s potential.
Lenin is expected to showcase Akhil in a fresh avatar, blending action, drama, and a strong emotional core. Fans are hoping this project will provide him the much-needed breakthrough.
