
Shalini Pandey, who shot to fame with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy, recently opened up about a disturbing experience she faced in the early days of her career.
In an interview, she recalled an incident where a director behaved inappropriately during a film’s shoot.

While she was changing in her caravan, the director suddenly opened the door without permission. Furious, she immediately yelled at him, forcing him to leave.
However, some people around her felt she had overreacted. But Shalini firmly believes she did the right thing and has no regrets about standing up for herself.

Shalini, originally from Jabalpur, entered the film industry after director Sandeep Reddy Vanga discovered her pictures on Facebook and offered her the lead role in Arjun Reddy.
The film’s success made her an overnight sensation, paving the way for opportunities in Telugu and Tamil cinema.

Later, she shifted her focus to Bollywood, where she didn’t attain much success. While she has received support from filmmakers and co-stars, she acknowledges that the industry has its dark side.
Since that unsettling incident, Shalini hasn’t faced similar situations, and even if she does, she now knows how to handle them assertively.
She was recently seen in Netflix’s Dabba Cartel, alongside Shabana Azmi and Jyothika.
