Atlee, who achieved pan-India fame with the all-time blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, has been making waves in Bollywood ever since.
After delivering hits in Tamil and Telugu, he has yet to return to the South. He turned producer and made Baby John with Varun Dhawan which turned out to be an embarrassing disaster.

Initially, there were strong rumors that Atlee would collaborate with Shah Rukh Khan again for Jawan 2. Even Shah Rukh hinted at the possibility. Later, speculation shifted to a project with Salman Khan, which Atlee himself described as a game-changing film for the industry.
However, recent reports suggest that Atlee is in advanced talks with Shahid Kapoor for a new film.

Discussions between Shahid and Atlee have reportedly been ongoing for some time, and Shahid is said to be enthusiastic about the collaboration.
Atlee is reportedly crafting a script specifically for this project, which could go on floors in the second half of this year if everything falls in place.
It is going to be a masaledaar action film, if reports are to be believed. Atlee will only produce the film and be creatively involved but will not direct it.
There’s speculation that Atlee might work with Salman after completing the Shahid’s film. If true, this would mean Atlee’s return to the South could be delayed by at least two more years.
There were rumors that Atlee might team up with Allu Arjun for a pan-India film. It looks like that might never materialize now, as Allu Arjun might not team up with someone associated with films like Baby John.
Fans also want Allu Arjun to do films with directors who can make strong content-driven films and not just rehashes of old Shankar and AR Murugadoss films.
The Baby John disaster has turned out to be a warning bell for Allu Arjun.
