A recent survey found that most people prefer movies to be about 92 minutes long. Only 15% said they would accept films over 120 minutes, and just 2% liked movies longer than 150 minutes.
This is surprising because many top-grossing films today are much longer.

For instance, many of the highest-grossing films ever are over two hours long, with some like Animal, Kalki 2898 AD, RRR, Avatar, Avengers: Endgame, and Devara being over three hours.
However, except for a few exceptions like Rajamouli’s movies, most films that turned out to be blockbusters, such as Animal or Kalki 2898 AD, faced issues due to their long runtimes.

As a result, people generally prefer films with runtimes of less than 150 minutes, as longer films can become exhausting.
