Avanti Srinivas announced his resignation earlier this morning and sent the resignation letter to Jagan Mohan Reddy and the party’s Uttarandhra coordinator Vijaya Sai Reddy.
Avanti criticized Jagan for his actions while speaking to the media post his resignation. He said that Jagan has to respect the people’s mandate.

He said, “The people gave the NDA a mandate to govern for five years and it is unfair to hold protests just five months into its rule without allowing the government enough time. YCP party workers have faced a lot of challenges over the past five years. While Jagan issues orders from Tadepalli, it is the party workers who face the on-ground struggles. A party should operate democratically and not in this manner.”
On the other hand, just a few hours after Avanti Srinivas’s resignation, former Bhimavaram MLA Grandhi Srinivas also resigned from the YSR Congress Party. He sent his resignation letter to party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.
