Dhanush’s upcoming film Kuberaa is building strong momentum at the North American box office, even before its official release.
Advance bookings have seen a major spike in the past two days. This rise is largely driven by the film’s well-received theatrical trailer, which created solid buzz.

Initially, Kuberaa registered a modest $36.1K in premiere advance sales, with around 2,000 tickets sold. But interest has since skyrocketed.
The film now stands at $115.76K, with 6,600 tickets booked — a massive 239% jump. It’s a clear sign of growing word-of-mouth and rising curiosity.

Star power is playing a big role too. The presence of Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh is boosting the film’s appeal across language barriers and fan bases.
With just a few days left for release, trade analysts expect the numbers to keep rising. The final 24 hours are especially crucial and could bring in another wave of bookings.

For Dhanush, this film could mark a much-needed overseas revival. His recent releases like Raayan, Captain Miller, and Naane Varuven underperformed in the US.
However, Kuberaa feels different. Not only is there strong buzz, but director Sekhar Kammula enjoys a great reputation among the US Telugu audience. That adds an extra layer of credibility.
The big question now is whether the content lives up to expectations. If the film delivers and garners positive feedback, it could help re-establish Dhanush as a strong box office draw internationally.
June 20 is now a key date. Kuberaa has the momentum — now it just needs to seal the deal.
