An old interview of Yash has recently begun making rounds of the internet. The conversation happened back in 2018 where he addressed his opinion about Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor.
Speaking of Ranveer, Yash said, “I never used to like his work initially, but I don’t know how he is looking too good.” However, it was his performance in Bajirao Mastani due to which Yash eventually began appreciating his work. He additionally praised the way Ranveer played his role in Padmaavat.

Yash then addressed Ranbir by saying that he had watched Sanju, adding that he felt Ranbir was a little bit distracted. However, Yash also mentioned that Ranbir was “too good” in the film.
Although the comments were made by Yash around five years ago, both actors have indeed maintained their versatility after that. Even though Ranveer had some flops after the COVID-19 pandemic, he bounced back last year with Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

The same can be said for Ranbir, who has gained recognition for not being an “overexposed” star. He even went through a different kind of transformation for Animal, which emerged as one of the highest-grossing films of 2023.
Ranveer has an action-thriller in the upcoming lineup, helmed by Aditya Dhar. Coming to Ranbir, he will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana alongside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War.
