The film in question here is none other than Jathi Ratnalu. The first part of this film was a huge blockbuster even in the Covid era, and it is still one of the iconic slapstick comedy films made in Telugu Cinema.

The makers had principally communicated that they have the plan for the sequel of the film, but the issue is that they did not make any substantial progress on the same.

It was earlier reported that the second part would be based out of the United States of America, where the three dimwits would find themselves in peculiar situations after arriving there without proper visa.

Considering the current US going trend in India, this plot would have a lot of connect factor. There is a lot of potential to generate healthy comedy and relevant matters through this film.

However, the sad part is that neither Naveen PolishShetty or director Anudeep actually sitting down to make this project happen in the immediate future. They both are occupied with different films at an individual capacity.

If there is one comedy sequel that has a huge potential and could easily touch the hundred crore mark at the box office, it would be the second part of Jathi Ratnalu.

We have already seen Tillu Square work, wonderfully at the box office and even touch the hundred crore mark. We have Mad Squared coming up soon.

Considering this ongoing trend of sequence for comedy films, it has to be seen if the men behind Jathi Ratnalu would take this as an inspiration to actually materialise their own sequel.
