Jr NTR is actively promoting Devara which is headed for release on the 28th of this month. In the process, he interacted with the Tamil media and made a few interesting comments.

Incidentally, Tarak said a couple of days ago that he badly wants to work with his favorite filmmaker, Vetrimaaran. Though this collaboration might excite a section of fans, it doesn’t make too much sense box office wise, considering the constrained reach of Vetri’s films and NTR’s growing market.
Now, Tarak has commented in a Tamil interview that he and Atlee discussed a romantic comedy but got busy later. He said he wishes to make a film with Atlee certainly in the future.

While NTR’s excitement about working with these filmmakers is perhaps understandable considering their box office track record, the actual prospects are not too bright.
Atlee already faces allegations of copy-pasting and lack of freshness. This isn’t what is expected from an original actor like NTR. Though Atlee’s mix-and-match skills are good, the chances of such stuff failing at one time or another are high as the South audience might grow bored.

NTR has abundance of talent in Tollywood itself with many promising young directors like Vanga, Buchi Babu, Srikanth Odela and others in the fray. He should better be looking at these prospects than out of bound Tamil filmmakers.
