Kalki Bhairava Anthem

After keeping fans on edge throughout Sunday, the creators of Kalki 2898 AD finally unveiled the audio version of the Bhairava Anthem, promising the video release on Monday.

Santosh Narayanan’s composition delivers with its infectious beats, complemented by Ramajogaiah Sastry’s Telugu lyrics apt for Prabhas and Diljit Dosanjh’s distinctive vocals, making for an enjoyable listen.

Yet, despite these strengths, the song seems to miss the mark in achieving a groundbreaking impact. The fusion of Punjabi flavor within a Telugu superstar’s song feels somewhat out of sync, failing to resonate strongly with Telugu audiences.

Similarly, the Hindi audience, accustomed to frequent Punjabi songs every week, may not find it as novel as anticipated.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga must be appreciated in this aspect that he used a Punjabi song Arjan Vaily to its maximum impact in Animal. This song from Kalki doesn’t have that banger effect.

Overall, the Bhairava Anthem risks falling into the category of ‘neither here nor there’.

However, with today’s release of the music video featuring Prabhas, there’s hope for a turnaround. Witnessing him grooving to the song might just elevate its appeal, potentially leaving a stronger impression than the audio alone.
