Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s latest film, starring veteran actress Vijayashanti Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi hit theatres last Friday. The first weekend has passed, and the film’s commercial fate was already evident the moment the critical reviews came out on day one from U.S. premiere.
Now that the weekend is over, let’s take a look at where the film stands.

Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi was promoted with a lot of passion and aggression by relatively new producers. However, that same passion didn’t translate into the actual filmmaking. And no matter how much effort goes into promotion, a film simply cannot survive if the basics aren’t in place. That’s exactly what happened here — a film that feels completely outdated for a 2025 release.
When we look at the numbers, especially from overseas markets like North America where we have reliable tracking, the reality is clear.

The film didn’t even cross the $100K mark — and to put that in perspective, $100K isn’t even considered a benchmark anymore, not even for a film with a lesser-known hero.
By the end of its first weekend, Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi grossed just $87K across four days, and it’s likely to close well below the 100K mark. A complete disaster.

As we said earlier, no matter how much effort and money producers pour into promotions, they must ensure the fundamentals — the story and the pulse of today’s audience — are solid. This film completely misread that.
The team, including the hero, heavily banked on the last 20 minutes to be the game-changer. But they failed to realize it’s not even a proper 20-minute stretch — it’s just under five minutes, a short fight sequence that makes no difference in the grand scheme of an outdated.
In the end, Arjun Son Of Vyjayanthi stands as yet another example of poor judgment in filmmaking and has turned out to be a true-blue disaster for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in North America.
