This means no OTT release for Kanguva for 8 weeks.

The reason for this is that these films did not follow the policy requiring an 8-week gap between their theatrical release and OTT release. These multiplex chains follow this rule to maintain a balanced release schedule between theaters and OTT platforms.
This is a positive sign from the Tamil industry, and Kanguva producer Gnanavel must be appreciated for not falling into the greed of lucrative deals from OTT platforms to release the movie on streaming platforms in just 4 weeks like other Tamil biggies.
