Khel Khel Mein, starring Akshay Kumar, has moved its release date from September 6th to August 15th, 2024. This shift suggests that Pushpa2 has been postponed!

With this change, it’s once again Akshay Kumar vs. John Abraham at the box office on Independence Day. Akshay’s Khel Khel Mein will now clash with John’s Vedaa on August 15th, 2024. This marks their third head-to-head battle on this significant date. g!

Khel Khel Mein is a remake of the foreign film Perfect Strangers, which was previously remade in Malayalam as 12th Man, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohan Lal.

There were huge expectations for the Independence Day weekend with Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated Pushpa 2 set to clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. However, Singham Again’s postponement left the date open for a solo release of Pushpa 2.

But now, reports suggest that Pushpa 2 is also postponed, awaiting official confirmation.

Instead, we will witness a clash between Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Both films are currently low on hype and there’s very little excitement among audiences.

Trade experts predict that the combined lifetime business of Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa might be less than what Pushpa 2 could have earned on its opening day if it had been released on August 15th.

In 2022 also, Bollywood delivered two disasters Laal Singh Chadda and Rakshabandhan, and ruined the lucrative period of Independence day weekend.

We were anticipating a box office explosion with heavyweights like Pushpa 2 and Singham Again, but now we’ll have to adjust our expectations with the release of remakes like Khel Khel Mein.
