Prithviraj Sukumaran’s big-budget action entertainer L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, is trying to build some buzz. This film is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer. The expectations are high for this sequel.
The makers have nearly completed shooting and are now gearing up for promotions. Mohanlal’s role is said to be even more powerful this time. The film features intense action sequences and several unexpected twists in the plot.

Interestingly, prominent Telugu producer Dil Raju has acquired the distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana under his SVC banner. Known for strategic promotions, Dil Raju is expected to push L2: Empuraan aggressively in the Telugu market.
Lucifer gained popularity on OTT during the COVID period. Although its Telugu remake Godfather flopped, it still remains a popular film. Banking on this, Dil Raju seems confident that this sequel can attract Telugu audiences to theaters.

As of now the film doesn’t have much hype but if the trailer which is going to be released soon can create an impact, things might change.
However, Dil Raju’s track record with dubbed films has been mixed. While Premalu succeeded big time, films like Beast and PS 2 resulted in losses.
