Mahesh Babu Skips ED Inquiry

Mahesh Babu has informed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that he cannot attend questioning on April 28 due to his film commitments. He has requested the ED to reschedule the inquiry for a later date.

The ED raided the offices of Sai Surya Developers and Surana Group of Companies on April 16. They discovered documents related to illegal transactions totaling 100 crores and seized 74.5 lakhs in cash.

The investigation revealed that Mahesh Babu received 5.9 crores for promoting Sai Surya Developers. This payment included 3.4 crores in cheques and 2.5 crores in cash.

As part of the money laundering investigation, the ED issued a notice for Mahesh Babu to appear on April 28, asking for documents like his PAN card.

However, Mahesh Babu’s legal team has been in touch with the ED. They are expected to meet the ED officials soon to discuss the matter.

Mahesh is currently busy filming SS Rajamouli’s movie, which is why according to him he cannot attend the session. His legal team is requesting the ED’s approval for a new date.

The ED has accused Sai Surya Developers of influencing people to invest in money laundering schemes under the guise of promotions, leading to the notice being issued to Mahesh Babu.
