Lyca reportedly demanded their investment with interest, which Aashirwad Cinemas struggled to repay after recent setbacks.
To resolve the crisis, Aashirwad Cinemas sought help from other production houses, and Gokulam Movies stepped in to settle the issue. With Gokulam’s involvement, Empuraan is now confirmed for its planned release date.

Director Prithviraj Sukumaran confirmed on social media that Gokulam Movies had stepped in to support Empuraan’s release. He thanked Gokulam Movies for their trust in the project.
Prithviraj excluded Lyca Productions from his post. This gesture strongly indicated Lyca’s exit from the film. By acknowledging Gokulam Movies and ignoring Lyca, Prithviraj subtly confirmed the shift in the production houses.
