When a mega project, like the one marking the collaboration of Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli, SSMB29 happens, there’s a lot of debate on this topic. The same is happening with this film now, as there are several theories on this topic.
A few say that this film must be titled SSMB-SSR, in order to validate both the principal technicians – Mahesh and Rajamouli who are associated with the film. This narrative was carried by a few Twitter pages as well in the recent past.

However, the major majority of Mahesh Babu’s fans are reluctant about this as they want the film to be called SSMB 29. As a result, there is an ongoing social media battle between what must be the right title for this project, which is under production.
However, this battle can be regarded as one of the most senseless and immature ones.

Firstly, the titling of the film will have to be based on both Mahesh and Rajamouli. It would be an understatement to say that Rajamouli’s brand is equally strong as Mahesh’s, if not bigger.
More importantly, Rajamouli is a pride of Telugu cinema and also Indian cinema so trying to discredit him from the Mahesh babu film does not make much sense at any level.

There is too much wrong with titling the film SSMB29 or be it SSMB – SSR. The very fact that Mahesh Babu’s fans are making a meal of the SSR addition in the title is preposterous. At the end of the day, their favourite hero is working on his dream project which is going to rewrite many records in Indian cinema.
Notably, even Rajamouli referred to the film as SSMB29 recently and this is an indication of what’s to come. But this doesn’t validate the argument and fuss created by a section of Mahesh’s fans regarding the titling aspect.
