The makers of Thandel have announced officially that their film has collected over Rs 100 crore gross globally after the completion of the second weekend.
This is now being carried as the first film from the Akkineni family to have collected over Rs 100 crore gross globally by the time of the second weekend.

However, despite the box office success of this film, it can be argued that Chaitanya needs more than Thandel at the point in time.
Chay needs that one standout film that doesn’t just shake the box office but also offer extreme experience to the audience.

For instance, we have an Arjun Reddy, Tilly Square, and others that defined Vijay Deverakonda and Siddhu Jonnalagadda. They fared well at the box office and also brought image to the actors.
It is a fact that Chay had been around for a long time now and delivering such spark content is not quite as easy as it is for fresher faces like Vijay and Siddhu. But he certainly needs such an impactful film to regain lost sheen.

Mediocre films that might have done well with certain audiences simply don’t cut it for him at this point in time. But for what it’s worth, Chay delivered a standout performance in the film and it was unanimously appreciated by one and all.
The only thing due now is a stellar standout hit that delivers on all fronts.
Thandel is anyway a film that offers some sort of respite to Chay who had been in desperate need of it. So now, the expectation is that he will capitalise on this to deliver a winning that works on all fronts.
