Chhaava Telugu BO

Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhava created a sensation at the Hindi box office, earning over 500 crores net at the Hindi box office.

Despite completing four weeks in theaters, the film continues to perform steadily, especially in Maharashtra.

Encouraged by this response, Geetha Arts released the Telugu dubbed version, but it failed to meet expectations.

One major reason for the underwhelming performance in Telugu states was its delayed release, arriving three weeks after the Hindi version. By then, the film’s buzz had faded.

Industry experts believe that an earlier release in Telugu could have improved its outcome. Additionally, the timing clashed with the re-release of the Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which stole its thunder.

While Chhava showed average weekday collections, it is now struggling in the second weekend as the newly released film Court gained strong momentum at the box office.

Court, which opened with almost 7 crores on its first day, dominated the weekend box office. Reports indicate that over 2 lakh tickets were booked for Court via BookMyShow.

Chhaava is a big disappointment at the Telugu box office. The film was expected to collect at least 10-12 crore share but the film will end up less than 8 crores, according to trade experts.

Trade analysts suggest that if it had been released at the right time and without strong competition, it could have easily earned 30-40 crores gross in Telugu.
