On the very day, that news broke out that Prabhas would be joining hands with Director Maruti for a film, it immediately triggered a negative response from fans.

There was a large social media campaign against this project as fans were doubtful on whether Maruti would actually be able to handle a superstar like Prabhas.

However, both Maruti and Prabhas looked confident about this project. On multiple occasions, Maruti said he is unfazed by the negative talk on him, and if anything, this will only fuel him to make a bigger and better product.

The makers had even released a glimpse of the film recently and it gave a feeler of what’s to come. This pacified fans to a small degree.

But again, the delay in the film is leading to more anxiousness from fans. This film was originally supposed to release on April 10, and that is not the case now as it got postponed. Now there are reports that the film might not be releasing in 2025 and could get pushed to Sankranti 2026.

This delay has again led to further speculation about Prabhas’s verdict on Maruti. A few fans are commenting that this was what they were fearing in the first place as they weren’t sure if Maruti would be able to handle Prabhas, who is an elite superstar. This delay has added weight to their claim.

That being said, whatever done is done, and the only responsibility on Maruti now is to deliver a winning film for Prabhas. If he can get the comedy quotient and horror element relatively well, and the film actually releases during Sankranthi, it can wreak havoc in Telugu states, particularly Andhra Pradesh where entertaining films are the go-to choice during Sankranthi festival season.
