It’s rare for a big star to venture into horror comedy, as these films typically lack the hero elevation and fight scenes that many leading actors prefer.

However, in 2005, Rajinikanth took a bold step by starring in Chandramukhi, a horror comedy where he played a psychiatrist.

Despite knowing that the show stealer would be Jyothika, Rajini accepted doing the film. The risk paid off and the film was a blockbuster.

Now, one of India’s biggest pan-India stars, Prabhas, is set to star in a romantic horror comedy titled The Raja Saab.

Produced by People Media Factory and featuring music by SS Thaman, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Jisshu Sengupta, and Brahmanandam.

The mass entertainer will be released on April 10 next year in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

It remains to be seen whether Prabhas will dominate the screen or share the spotlight with his co-stars.
