Pushpa 2 Hindi in Trouble

Allu Arjun’s highly-anticipated ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ Is also facing its fair share of struggles, apart from all the glamour and sparkles.

Several disputes between distributors and exhibitors regarding the revenue-sharing model in single screens have come to light, curbing the enthusiasm ahead of its release.

The general age-old trend in the industry has been to share the revenue in a 50-50 model. However, owing to the massive hype around the film, the distributors have decided to go for a 60-40 model, receiving wide criticism.

The exhibitors have come out against the decision, saying that such a rash move would hurt the industry sentiments, disrupting the industry’s tradition.

The resolution of the dispute has been anything but smooth, leading to delays in opening advance bookings in certain single-screen theatres.

Many exhibitors have not yet opened advance bookings, citing disputes with distributors as the chief reason behind it.

Social media has shown its concerns on the issue, urging both parties to resolve it swiftly so as to avoid problems during the release date that could hurt the film’s success.




The distributors and exhibitors need to get their act together and negotiate in a mature way so that the film’s availability does not get impacted on December 5th.
