Thaman emphasized that it was his responsibility to inform the producers about the quality of the tracks rather than pushing subpar music forward.
In the case of Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which ended up as a massive box office disaster, Thaman’s outdated soundtrack was one of the major setbacks. The composer had completed all the songs back in 2021, but by the time they were released in 2024, the tracks felt stale and out of sync with current trends.

Determined to avoid the same mistake with Prabhas’ The Raja Saab, Thaman has taken this bold step. He scrapped all the songs composed so far. He clearly told the makers that the tunes felt lifeless and wouldn’t connect with today’s audience.
Since the songs hadn’t been filmed yet, Thaman opted to start fresh, ensuring the new tracks stay relevant and impactful.
For The Raja Saab, Thaman has now composed a fresh set of songs, which include a melody number, an introduction track, and a special dance song featuring Prabhas and three actresses.
He also confirmed that another romantic song has been added to the lineup, with plans to release the tracks at the right time to maintain freshness.
