
Rajamouli managed to bring NTR and Ram Charan together for RRR, and this was always going to be once in a lifetime collaboration. The film rightly gained a lot of impetus and managed to go on a good run at the box office.
However, every now and again, there is this discussion and debate about the possibility of this sequel for this film, and even Rajamouli pampers the same by saying it might be happening soon.

The same happened at the recent London screening of the film with the Media Rajamouli about a sequel, and he happily replied “Yes, it would happen.” This is mostly an obligatory and business centric response from the master craftsman.
But it must be primarily noted that this sequel project is as good as gone. There is no logical or logical possibility of this happening any time in the near future.

Both NTR and Charan witnessed the kind of destructive narratives that were carried after the release of this film by both sets of fans. They quarrel even to this day about the bragging rights for this film, and that sums up the situation.
It is a fact that Rajamouli simply cannot bring NTR and Charan together for another 2 to 3 years at this point in their careers. In fact, Rajamouli himself will have his focus on something bigger and better.

Charan and Tarak are occupied with different projects, and they have their attention elsewhere. There is no need for them to shift focus from everything and jump on this sequel at this point.
This sequel project is as good as gone, and even fans are aware of the same. But Rajamouli, perhaps, with business interests in mind, is keeping the idea of this sequel afloat whenever he is asked about it by the media.
