Pushpa 2 Jathara Episode

Many Indian films get banned in Saudi Arabia due to various reasons. Recently, Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were banned because Singham Again contained references to Indian gods, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 featured an LGBTQ angle.

Now, the latest victim of this censorship is Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated Pushpa 2.

According to the latest reports, the Saudi Arabia censor team objected to the film’s much-hyped Jathara episode. Specifically, they took issue with the hero’s (Allu Arjun’s) attire, where he dresses as a goddess and the extensive references to Hindu gods throughout the film.

After agreeing to multiple cuts totaling 19 minutes, the censor team eventually approved the film.

The Saudi version of the film has a runtime of 3 hours and 1 minute.

Indian movie lovers in Gulf countries will not be able to watch Pushpa 2 in its full glory, as the main Jathara sequence has been heavily edited.

It remains to be seen how this trimming will affect the film’s narration and whether it will disrupt the flow of the story.

Pushpa 2 is all set for its premiere, with shows starting in just a few minutes. The excitement among the audience is absolutely electric.
