It is safe to say that Tollywood is fully engulfed in the pan Indian fever as every superstar is aiming the barrel at pan-India glory. In accordance, the scale of the production got amplified big time.

However, while the scale of the films are going up, one important factor is coming down and that is the recall value.

If we observe the recent trend, not a single superstar film is coming with much recall value, as was seen earlier in the day.

Recent releases, Kalki, Devara, Guntur Kaaram, and others don’t possess much of a recall value. Salaar’s tight sequences have some rewatch value but as an entire film, it too wouldn’t make for a compelling rewatch.

In search of pan India fame and upscaling, it appears that Tollywood biggies have lost the soul of strong writing that commands recall value. With everyone running after grandeur and wider appeal, the important aspect of recall-worthy writing has gone missing.

We now have Pushpa 2 up for release on the 5th of December and people are hoping that this film would soothe the nerves and possess some recall value, unlike recent films.

Pushpa 1 had a reasonable recall value on OTT, at least in the Northern markets and netizens are hoping Sukumar is cooking something bigger and better this time around with the second part.
