LEO Bhagavanth Kesari

Bhagavanth Kesari and Leo are the two mainstream biggies that arrived in theaters this weekend, marking the auspicious occasion of Dasara. Incidentally, both the films have gotten off to a good start at the Telugu box office.

Bhagavanth Kesari reportedly collected in the range of Rs 16 crore share in the Telugu states on its opening day. This is the third best start for Balakrishna after Veera Simha Reddy and Akhanda.

Given the non-mainstream mass genre, this can be regarded as a pretty decent opener for Balayya, given that he has tried something new and still manged to pull good numbers.

Then, Vijay recorded his best-ever opening in the Telugu states as Leo is said to have collected in the range of RS 12 crores gross on its opening day.

Leo has had a wildly sensational run at the box office on its opening day. Its worldwide gross is said to be in the range of Rs 125 crores gross which is the highest ever for a Tamil film by a humongous margin. It is faring pretty well in the Telugu states as well.

Meanwhile, there is a new Telugu outing today with the arrival of Nageswara Rao in theaters. How will this film impact the other two Dasara releases? We shall wait and see.
