Gopichandh Malineni’s Jaat, originally planned for Ravi Teja, the film has now found decent appreciation in Hindi with Bollywood’s jaded star Sunny Deol. The box office numbers are missing but there is appreciation from everyone who has seen it.
This has led to the ongoing debate: Did Ravi Teja miss out on what could have been his next big hit? Why did he let go of this project and accept disasters like Mr. Bachchan, Ravanasura, Tiger Nageswara Rao, and Eagle?

The positive reception to Jaat has sparked speculation about whether Ravi Teja missed his chance for a hit. However, there’s a twist. Had Ravi Teja been in the lead, the film might have lacked the fresh appeal as Telugu stars have been doing such films for many years.
The storyline wouldn’t have offered the same novelty that Sunny Deol’s Bollywood touch brought to it, making the project feel new and exciting, especially for the Hindi audiences.

However, some audiences felt that if this had been the film Ravi Teja was supposed to do with Gopichand Malineni, it would have been his best in years. The first half is being praised as terrific.
The raciness of the first half gets lost in the second half, and what we are left with is a collection of usual savior sequences coupled with mindless violence we’ve seen countless times. Still, there are fun moments, and it is definitely better than what many expected.

While it’s true that Ravi Teja could’ve had success on his hands, it’s also clear that Jaat found appreciation because it was tailored to suit the Bollywood style and flair.
In the end, it’s hard to say if the film would’ve been as impactful with Ravi Teja in the lead. What’s certain, though, is that Jaat proved to be a fresh and exciting venture for Sunny Deol and an unexpected surprise for the Hindi audience.
