Many small actors supported the YSR Congress in the 2019 elections. But all of them backed off in 2024 after knowing about Jagan and his style of working.
The way Jagan tried to trouble the film industry, it has become for those in the industry to support him. But Anchor Shyamala supported him in a big way and campaigned for YSR Congress.

Unlike other actors who supported Jagan, she had gone overboard making very personal comments on Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
In an interview, she even referred to Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan as Musali Thodelu and Gunta Nakka respectively. The video went viral on social media and very much killed Shyamala’s career in Tollywood.

She even extensively campaigned for Vanga Geetha to defeat Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram.
After the results were out, she was one of the biggest targets of social media.

She is neither getting Anchoring opportunities nor any acting assignments after the elections.
She tried to act smart saying she had the right to support any party but the excessive statements she made resulted in her downfall, everyone knows.
Now, she has been appointed as the party’s official spokesperson.
This appointment may become a double-edged sword for Shyamala.
This will mean she becomes an untouchable totally for the film industry. Since the party is in the Opposition, she will not derive any benefits too.
We will have to see if she will be active in the party or keep the position as a namesake.
