On February 19, BRS or Bharatiya Rashtra Samiti which was born as Telangana Rashtra Samiti, will have a mega meeting that will see its entire cadre at various levels coming together at the BRS Bhavan.
The executive meeting to be chaired by KCR will see state in-charges, executives, district party presidents, current and past MPs, legislators, legislative council members, corporation chairmen, zilla parishad chairmen, DCCB, DCMS presidents and party constituency in-charges.

They will discuss how to go about the silver jubilee celebrations, party memberships, party structure, the way ahead for the party and strategies to take the work of KCR both as a fighter of Telangana and his political journey to people not just in Telangana, but across the country.
It is a big goal for a party where the sentiments of Telangana people are tied with KCR and TRS.

But today’s reality is different. The people of Telangana voted for change and chose the Congress party. It’s just more than a year for the Telangana Congress in power.
KCR, despite public mandate, continues to operate from his farmhouse. Also, his health is a big question mark for many. KTR and Kavita both have cases pending on them and can go to jail depending on legalities.
The party does not have charismatic leaders beyond the three. Even Harish Rao has lost his touch.
There is no strong reason for the state to go for polls. So, a belligerent attitude by BRS may not work for the party. While KCR is no doubt, part of Telangana history, the people have democratically voted for him to become part of history.
The silver jubilee year might be a big milestone for BRS, but is it so for the people of Telangana?
