The Budget proposed by Telangana state government has good news for the citizens. With increasing traffic woes, the news comes as a whiff of fresh air.
Hyderabad will soon have 37 new flyovers and 17 underpasses to ease traffic flow, especially during peak hours. To ensure smooth traffic flow and providing the necessary infrastructure, the state government has announced HICITI plan.

Apart from new flyovers, 10 highways will also be widened, said Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. Rs 7,032 crore will be spent for the works.
Another Rs 150 crore will be spent on beautification of the city, the Minister shared. The Minister said that keeping in mind the city’s growth and increase in bike, car and other vehicle congestion, development activities have been taken up under HICITI plan.

Hyderabad has approximately 1.6 crore population and 85 lakh vehicles. In coming days, with proposed development programmes, the population and vehicle population are likely to grow. Migrants from other cities and Telangana interiors are likely to pour into the city and satellite areas.
Keeping this in mind, the state government has looked into future and developed the HICITI plan.
