A case has been filed against 27 YSRCP members for allegedly spreading false information about the recent Kurnool bus accident on social media. Those named include YSRCP official representative anchor Shyamala, Kanduri Gopikrishna, CV Reddy, and YSRCP Twitter incharges.
The complaint was registered at the Kurnool taluka police station by Vemulayya from Tandrapadu in Kurnool Rural. He stated that these individuals created confusion by claiming that spurious liquor and belt shops caused the accident and blamed the TDP government.
According to the complaint, the accused spread irresponsible remarks and false claims, leading to public disturbance. Officials clarified that the accident happened when the bus collided with a bike that was moving at high speed.
The biker, Sivashankar, reportedly hit the divider and had already died before the bus impacted the bike. It was also confirmed that he purchased liquor from a licensed wine shop and not a belt shop, contrary to what the YSRCP members shared online, said Vemulayya in his complaint.
